About oXben Tone

oXben Tone is a four-in-one music utility that runs entirely in your browser. It combines a metronome for keeping rhythm, a chromatic tuner that listens through your microphone, a chord finder that shows fret diagrams and note names, and a tone generator for producing pure sine, square, sawtooth, or triangle waves at any frequency.

Whether you are a guitarist warming up, a music teacher, a sound engineer testing equipment, or a hobbyist learning music theory, oXben Tone provides the essential reference tools without any download or sign-up.

How to Use

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to install anything to use the tuner?
No. oXben Tone runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API and the MediaDevices microphone API. You only need to grant microphone permission when using the tuner.

Which instruments can I tune?
The chromatic tuner detects any pitched sound, so it works with guitar, bass, violin, ukulele, wind instruments, and voice. Select the instrument preset to see common reference pitches for that instrument.

What frequencies does the tone generator support?
The tone generator covers the full audible spectrum from 20 Hz to 20 000 Hz. You can enter any frequency manually or use the note buttons to jump to standard musical pitches.
